So
we ran around the city, were completely free and just lived life. I can't
explain how freeing it was to just go around and explore. Friday night we
fell asleep, like mid-sentence I clonked out in her big comfy chair.
Saturday we went to the mall and shopped around, a girl asked me where I got my
combat cherry red boots and I said "Target" she asked where that was
and I said "oh um where I live in Michigan" she said is that around
here? LOL. I found that whole thing amusing. So then this random
guy was passing out roses in the times square part and I was trying to figure
out why a million people had them so I asked and this guy like threw one at me.
They had passages from the quaran on them buuuut the guy preaching was
christian. It was just bizarre. Lol, it was like the times square
part. So anywho, cath and I took a taxi back to her room (it was raining
really hard which I LOVE) and listened to avril levigne, lit delicious smelling
candles, and tumbled/napped for like an hour...IT WAS MAGICAL lol. Then
off to Rookie Mag party we went! We were going to take a taxi cause it
was a 45 min walk but then we started to walk the weather was nice and not too
damp so we I made the whole journey and felt great! And I really got to
see the city. I'm just gonna say the party was amazing....the art gallery
was beautiful and Tavi was signing stuff so I did not want to awkwardly go up
to her but then I was dancing with Cath and 22 by Tswift came on and Tavi ran
up and hugged me! And we danced and talked (: It was magical.
Later, I went to Cath's friends apartment which was beautiful and they
did some drinking and other stuff and I literally just sat there smiling
because I felt like I was in a movie, I had never been to a party before.
I literally just sat there...but that was enough for me because I felt
like I was witnessing how people my age act with their peers. Sometimes I feel
so isolated or I hang with friends one on one, it was cool to see how people
act with one another. It was just the perfect trip and I can't wait to go
back!
