I
had the most amazing trip to Toronto last week. It was so last minute, I
was trying to get ahold of Cath so i had a place to stay and by the grace of
god I got in contact with her (she really goes off the grid a lot) I felt so
adult saying I'm going somewhere and then just doing it. I told my mom
and she was kinda hesitant but overall she approved. My mom and dad are
all about me making my own decisions, especially since they know I don't
partake in any illegal activities whatsoever lol. So I was having a
particularly crummy week what with this Sky Zone job being an absolute disaster
and having to drop a class in school and feeling like a stupid loser :( . So
this trip could not have come at a better time. Cath told me to go to Windsor
and leave on train from there, so off my dad drove me. We got really lost
whilst in Windsor due to NO one being able to explain where the train station
was and my gps literally not recognizing Canada as a location LOL.
Literally it just stopped. So I sat and waited in the station for 4
hours til the next one (they were super nice and did not even charge me for
it). I fell asleep with all my stuff and my macbook around me (hence why
my parents say I need to be more alert) and woke up just in time. There
were all these old people everywhere which was kinda scary cause there was no
one when I went to sleep lol. So off I went! My train had a lot of
issues cause of the rain so we were late and my next ticket is going to be half
off so yay. I loved the train so much, it was relaxing! I was just
so anxious to get there. When I got there I realized I should have gotten
canadian money first but I found a bank teller who traded me, I used the little
money I had on my card for all my expenses (like 150$) and made it last.
Grabbed a taxi and headed to Cath's! Her house was so old and cool!
It was a co-op so there were 7 others there. I was really happy
that the neighborhood was in the city so we could walk to a lot of places but
it had this very beautiful very old fall feel to it! My polaroid camera
did not come in time so Cath told me to buy a throwaway, that it would take old
fashion pictures like I wanted. The camera was like the double the price
but oh so worth it! The pictures turned out so well, thank god Cath told
me to use flash cause that really helped!
