Kentucky was so amazing.

Ever since I saw that documentary on the children of the mountains I have wanted to go to the Appalachian Mountains. A girl I knew from middle school talked about her previous years experience on her mission trip there and how excited she was to go. I asked her in November if I could go and I had been patiently waiting for July 1 when I left. The girl ended up not going last minute and I went with people I didn't know but that was not a challenge for me. I had the most amazing time. God really wanted me to give the only way I can...through the gift of books. There were work cites where people worked on houses then there was Project Worth, a sort of week long summer camp/school and bible teaching. I read the kids some of my favorite books everyday for a week and was told I have a great reading voice which was cool. I think everyone liked it and they for to keep the books which I loved!!
